Report on all of CIMA’s insurance markets 2013 financial year In 2013, the recovery in global economic activity gradually strengthened. However, it remained unevenly distributed according to geographic areas. The growth rate of the Global Gross Product fell from 3.1% in 2012 to 3.2% 1 in 2013. In this conjuncture marked by a revival of the world economy, the insurance market in the CIMA zone is progressing and posting good performances from year to year: premiums written in life and non-life have, in the zone, recorded a 10.6% increase in 2013. In order to continue this trend, 2013 was marked by measures to promote the insurance sector, including: – Circular No. 00001 / CIMA / CRCA / PDT / 2013 of March 30, 2013 relating to the fixing of the amount of premium or capital of microinsurance contracts; – Circular n ° 00002 / C / CIMA / CRCA / PDT / 2013 of October 26, 2013 relating to the management of sickness funds by insurance brokers which strengthens article 532.
