Report on all CIMA insurance markets year 2016 In 2016, international economic activity increased by 3.1% compared to 3.2% in 2015. Although it slowed slightly compared to the previous year, world economic growth was supported by the dynamism observed in emerging markets and in development. In an economic context of moderate growth, the performance of the insurance industry in the CIMA zone was favorable: the premiums issued in life and non-life insurance increased by 4.8% in 2016. To perpetuate this dynamism, 2016 essentially saw reforms related to: – the increase in the capital stock of limited liability insurance companies and the fund for establishing mutual insurance companies; – the reform of article 308 of the insurance code; – the establishment of a management provision by life insurance companies …..
